Who wouldn’t want to have a garden full of fragrant roses? Few women would refuse this whim, but equally few are those who can truly enjoy such a garden.

If you are not the happy owner of a garden, you can «invite» roses to your home. Indoor «miniature» roses grow «happily» in pots and bloom to make your life more beautiful. Find out how to take care of it.

Light and heat

The secret to growing roses indoors is to provide them with plenty of light, including direct sunlight. Placing the rose in a dark corner of the room will prevent its normal development and flowering. They also need a lot of heat to flower. Protects dwarf roses from temperature changes.

The pot in which you will plant your «mini-rose» is very important. If you put the rose in a vase, but still want to leave it outside the house (on the balcony, terrace, garden, etc.) you can opt for wooden vases. Plastic containers retain moisture, keeping the soil moist long after you water the rose.

Ceramic vases, made of terracotta, are totally opposite to plastic ones. They are porous, allowing water to evaporate easily and escape through its walls, causing excessive drying of the earth.

Earth

Dwarf roses are picky about soil composition. It must be rich, so you will need a special mixture of flower soil enriched with natural fertilizer.

It is also advisable to mix a variable quantity of sand with this soil (depending on the quantity of soil you will use).

In order for your miniature rose to bloom often and keep its flowers as long as possible, use a special fertilizer for decorative plants with flowers.

There is a very wide range of such fertilizers; you can find solutions on the market that are put in the water with which you water the plant, bars that are put in the soil and which gradually dissolve or concentrated powders of nutrients. It is important not to abuse these solutions because they can damage the roots.

Irrigation

Watering indoor roses, as is the case with all indoor plants, largely depends on the season. In summer and spring the plant will need to be watered more often, but the material the pot is made of will also need to be taken into consideration. As I said above, plastic dishes retain water inside, while ceramic ones encourage evaporation.
