The climatic brick ceiling has a decidedly positive effect on a healthy indoor climate. We present the particularities of ceiling heating.

Ceiling heating: this is how it affects the room climate

The brick climate blanket takes into account the knowledge that people’s feeling of heat is determined in particular by the upper body. This is why the ceiling heater radiates heat from above. Furthermore, ceiling heating has a positive effect on a healthy indoor climate.

All the benefits at a glance

Natural air conditioning

In summer the ceiling heating acts as a natural air conditioning. It works according to the following principle: in summer the warm air rises upwards and heats the water pipe in the brick climatic ceiling. A heat pump removes heated water while cold water follows. This way the room is continuously cooled. Thanks to the ceiling heating it is possible to use the rooms even in summer constantly maintain an ambient temperature lower than the ambient temperature – and all without air conditioning or harmful drafts!

Healthy life

Did you know that the heating system significantly affects air movement and the amount of dust in the air? The climatic brick ceiling, on the other hand, causes almost no air movement, which has a decisive advantage: it becomes essential less dust and germs agitated. Ceiling heating is therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers or children. Other heating systems, however, often work like this: hot air rises, cools and falls back down. This circulation agitates the air, which residents usually find unpleasant.

Comfortable temperature thanks to ceiling heating

Ceiling heating works on the solar principle. Water pipes are laid in the ceiling. For heating the water is heated, so that the ceiling radiates heat slowly and evenly, without annoying drafts! When this thermal radiation hits the surfaces of the room, it is absorbed and turns into heat. Due to direct radiation, the surface temperature of the wall and floor is significantly higher in ceiling heating than in conventional heating systems. This results in an even temperature distribution and the room temperature is easier and can be controlled for each individual room. Incidentally, the radiant heat of the brick climatic ceiling is about 90%. No other system currently works so effectively:

• Radiator:approx. 17% radiant heat
• Underfloor heating: approx. 55% radiant heat
• Climate blanket: approx. 90% radiant heat

With so-called radiant heat there is almost no air movement. This means that the heat is perceived more intensely at the same ambient air temperature. This is the actual surface temperature in rooms with ceiling heating approximately 23°C– however, the perceived temperature is again up to 3° Celsius more! This in turn has a positive effect on physical well-being.

Optimal humidity

Optimal humidity It has its pitfalls. After all, it should be neither too high nor too low. And this is where the brick material comes into play. Due to its capillary structure, the brick absorbs excess moisture from the room air and can subsequently release it back into the room air. In this way the humidity in living environments is balanced.
